About
The first of its kind, this centre, opened in 1997, consists of 9 purpose-built apartments in a small development built within the grounds of the Church of Ireland on Cross Avenue, Blackrock. Located in a pleasant residential suburb of south Co. Dublin, the Blackrock Barrett centre is close to the bustling village of Blackrock, with all its shops, restaurants, pubs and two shopping centres, and is on the main bus and DART routes.
Each apartment is self-contained, with a lift to the first-floor level and direct access from the ground floor to a pleasant, south-facing courtyard, central to the development and open to all service users. The main building has a number of multipurpose rooms, which users can avail of for social and recreational activities.
Facilities
- 9 self-contained apartments (7 single and 2 double), each consisting of a sitting room/bedroom, bathroom and fully equipped kitchen area.
- Several multipurpose rooms in main building for communal use by all our service users.

- Care and support from trained staff.
- Cleaning and cooking support for users that need assistance.
- Blackrock Barrett's minibus service facilitates users in their transport needs.
