About
St. Patrick's Cheshire Home is located just outside the busy town of Tullow in Co. Carlow. Opened in 1967, it had previously been the home of the old Tullow Village Hospital. The building was extensively refurbished in 1986 and now provides 15 single rooms for service users. A major development project was undertaken during 1999 and 2000 with the building of 8 modern bungalows, located around a landscaped courtyard and linked to the main house by a covered passageway. These bungalows are designed and fitted to provide lifetime adaptable homes within the St. Patrick’s centre.
Facilities
- 15 single rooms in main house.
- Users can avail of a large dining room, recreational area and bright indoor conservatory for social and leisure activities, as well as an outdoor greenhouse and sun house in the gardens.
- 8 modern bungalows, each consisting of a bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and fully fitted kitchen area, with patio doors giving access to the gardens.
Services Available
- 24-hour care and support available from trained staff.
- Cleaning and maintenance of the bungalows are provided each day, and there are in-house laundry facilities.
- Cooked meals are available to users.
- Diversional therapies and entertainments are arranged by staff members.
