Senior Leadership Team
Beryl Gilmore
Data Protection & Freedom of Information Officer
I am the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Officer, having joined Cheshire Ireland in 2022.
As part of my role with Cheshire Ireland, I work to promote a data protection culture within the organisation and embed the right to privacy for the people we support, our employees and those accessing our services.
Prior to this appointment I held management roles in WEEE Ireland and in the Youth and Community Sector, having previously managed youth and community projects in County Dublin and Wicklow. I participated in introducing GDPR, the Charities Code of Governance, Children First, the National Quality Guidelines for School age services, safeguarding protocols, and high standards of governance to the organisations she worked for.
I hold a degree in Sociology and History from DCU and graduate certificates in Project and Community Development and in Leadership and Non-Profit Management (part of the Level 9 NCI Leaders for Change Programme, run in conjunction with Quality Matters and the Wheel).
I am accredited with the Association of Data Protection Officers Ireland and have also completed the IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional certification.
