Derry McVeigh
Director /Trustee
I have 30 years’ experience in Property Management across Government Departments, my current position is the Deputy Director of Global Property with the DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs).
I have a lifelong passion for sport which resulted in me co-founding Silverhatch Sports in 2008 which currently represents some of the best talented sportspeople Ireland has produced. Silverhatch Sports specialises in Commercial Partnerships, Sponsorships, Brand Ambassadors, Transition Planning and Media Management.
Since 2008, I have successfully managed and represented both Olympic and Paralympic athletes over 5 Olympic cycles (Paris, Tokyo, Rio, London, and Beijing) together with World and European Champions across multiple sports.

Daniel Wiffen - Swimming (Olympic Gold & Bronze Medallist, current Double World & European Champion).
Katie George Dunleavy - Para Cyclist (Three Gold, Two Silver and One Bronze Paralympic Medallist, five Gold Medals at the UCI Para Cycling Road World Championships)
Sanita Puspure - Rowing (Two-time Double World and Double European Champion)
Rob Heffernan - Athletics (World Racing Walking Champion, Olympic Bronze Medallist and European Bronze Medallist).
As a direct consequence of my concern for the welfare of my athletes and families, I co-founded A Lust for Life in 2014, A Lust for Life was awarded Social Entrepreneur of the Year Irelands Impact Award in 2016.
I am a former International Cyclist for Ireland and managed the Irish Cycling Team in 2009 and 2010.
I am an avid runner and have completed more than twenty marathons in my lifetime.
