Gerard Healy
Director / Trustee
I started my career in the mid-2000s, working on national strategic Information Technology projects such as the National Broadband Program, the National Emergency Co-Ordination Centre, Dublin Airport Terminal 2, and many others before transitioning to Information Technology leadership roles in both the world’s largest security company, G4S, FTSE-100 listed packaging giant, Smurfit Kappa Group, as well as the country’s large office solutions provider, Codex. Throughout this time, I have delivered organisational growth, effectiveness, efficiency and security as a result of and through information technology. With a Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems, as well as more technical qualifications then I dare admit, I am an ardent advocate of continuous professional development, an integral point in his mentorship and leadership.
Outside of IT, I am a loving father of two smart, witty and wondrous young girls and a devoted husband to his most trusted confidant and advocate, Elizabeth. I am a certified Boardmatch Trustee and in my spare time, I volunteer and supports a multitude of causes close to his heart from suicide-prevention charities such as Pieta House to support for the elderly, homeless and vulnerable such as St Vincent De Paul and Alone, to HUGS, Home for Unwanted Greyhounds. My personal goal is to provide 10-fold the 6 units of blood that Elizabeth received during the birth of their eldest child and I glad to say I am well on my way on this journey.
