Qaasim Abdul

Head of Finance

I am a finance professional having worked in the charity sector since 2004. I hold a degree in Accounting & Banking, and ACCA qualified and hold a certificate in Charity Law, Trusteeship & Governance from the Law Society of Ireland. Prior to this role, I held several Finance positions in the Charity Sector including Homeless and Young People Services, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Education promotion, Social Inclusion and Philanthropy giving.

I joined Cheshire in May 2025 as Head of Finance and IT oversight. I bring with me strategic financial leadership and robust governance and I am a member of the Executive Team.

I am actively involved in the community on a wide range of projects and activities voluntarily. I sit on several Boards outside of Cheshire Ireland and have a keen interest in Children’s education. My spare time revolves around spending time with my family, am a keen sports enthusiast and I love football and fishing.
