About

Cork Supported Accommodation Services (CSAS) is part of Cheshire Irelands community services and was established in 2006 with the primary goal of supporting individuals to live independently in their own homes, regardless of their disability, in alignment with HSE policy. This policy represents a shift away from the previously adopted institutionalized models of care.

We are a person-centred organization, recognizing the importance of placing our service users at the core of everything we do. We are dedicated to working collaboratively with our service users to help them achieve meaningful objectives while continuously developing our services to ensure quality and compliance.

Our services are utilized by a diverse group of individuals spread across a wide geographical area, including West Cork. One of our services involves a 168km round trip from Glanmire, where our local office is based.

CSAS is designed for individuals who wish to retain their independence but require support in properties that meet their unique needs. We collaborate with Irish housing associations and local councils to provide properties that are built or adapted to meet each person's requirements, enabling them to live independently with appropriate support. Through our experience, we have learned that having the right care and support is just as crucial as having the right home.

We support individuals to live, learn, and work as independently as they choose, regardless of their abilities. We are deeply integrated into local life, opening doors to opportunities, choices, and support within local communities. We are committed to building a fairer, more inclusive society—one that recognizes the positive contributions of all individuals and where everyone is proud to play their part.

Recognizing that everyone is different, we offer a range of support covering every aspect of life. This flexibility allows each individual to choose what works best for them and their lifestyle. By providing varying levels of support based on practical, educational, career, and emotional needs, we make it easy for people to live independently while remaining at the heart of their community and pursuing their lifestyle choices.
