Cheshire Ireland

Strategy Consultation

We here at Cheshire Ireland are beginning the process of creating our new Strategy for 2024 onwards.
This will inform us on how best to drive forward the organisation and we value your opinion.

What is a strategy Consultation?

A strategy is a documented plan that sets out the organisation’s goals for the coming years. It will tell people what the organisation wants to achieve in those years and also, how we intend to achieve it. When developing a strategy, it is important to aim for the things we want to do and things we want to change, however it is also important that we remain realistic and make sure that when we set out the plan, we will be able to achieve it within the resources that we have or that we know we can get. Why should I be involved?

Before we can set out a plan, it is vitally important to the board of trustees and management team that we get the views and opinions of the people we support, your families and Cheshire Irelands employees as to what you view as most important in looking to the future

We are now beginning this process of engaging with you so that we can  get your views on a number of areas as part of the development of this process.

For those people we support who do not wish to join a focus group, an online survey will be available.

How will it work?

You can choose to take part in the consultation either by coming to a focus group or by completing an online survey.

We will be holding focus groups in all services for the people we support and their families during the week of May 22nd. A confirmed date will be given to you the week before.

If you want to give your opinion, but you don’t want to attend the focus group, an online survey will be available. You can complete this yourself or with a family member, or if you wish, you can ask a member of staff to assist you in completing it.

What will happen at the Focus Group?

The focus group will be held in your service, or, for community service users, in a central location.

At these groups we will ask you to join a discussion on a number of topics including choice, your environment, supporting your independence and the quality of the service you receive.

Some members of the Senior Management of Cheshire Ireland will lead the group discussion.

A list of those people attending from management will be made available the week before.
