I qualified as a Registered Nurse in London in 1994. Following a number of roles in elderly care and General Practice I moved to Advanced Practice in Primary Care in 2004 where the majority of my additional training and education is based. In 2011 I moved into senior management as Nurse Manager and then Head of Clinical Services for an Urgent Care Service in Hertfordshire which provided Out of Hours GP services and Urgent Care Centres in Hertfordshire and I was also Clinical Lead of the NHS 111 telephone triage service. During this time I was also working in those services as a Nurse Practitioner and Independent Nurse Prescriber.
In 2015 I moved home to Ireland with my family and joined Cheshire Ireland as Head of Clinical Services. The role expanded to Deputy CEO in 2018. I moved to the role of Acting CEO in December 2020 at the request of the Board of Trustees.
